India’s first manned mission to send people 6,000 meters under the ocean was called Samudrayaan.

To unlock the mysteries at the heart of the deep sea, India has embarked on Mega Sea Mission Samudrayaan. The country plans to send a team of experts to the deep sea to conduct various deep-sea surveys. The Samudrayaan mission aims to develop a manned self-propelled submersible that can carry her three people with an array of scientific sensors and tools for deep-sea exploration up to 6,000 meters deep in the ocean. The hours of use she has 12 hours, and in emergencies she has 96 hours.The Indian government’s vision of a ‘New India’ highlights the Blue Economy as one of the 10 key dimensions of growth.
